Vila Conde - Flower Rugs

The "Procession of the Flower Rugs" is an event that happens in Vila do Conde, a city in the north of Portugal and takes place every four years.

The tradition consists in covering the old core of Vila do Conde with flower carpets happens every four years.

Residents of the old village defoliate tons of flowers, in an arduous task that ends only in the day of the Body of God.
